GOALS FOR RWANDA
The water transportation system that we hope to build in Bungwe, Rwanda will effect the lives of 9,000 people, many of whom do not have access to the accepted standard of 20 liters of water per day. We are working closely with the Peace Corps in Rwanda and the local government to ensure that our project is as effective and sustainable as possible. The Grants team is responsible for making our project a reality. We have a goal of $10,000 for phase two of our project, which we hope to reach through bake sales, donations, matching funds, and more. We would very much appreciate any help for our cause. Tax-deductible donations can be made to the link below. |
CURRENT OBJECTIVES
The Grants committee is currently working hard to get more donations towards the matching funds fundraiser. For every dollar a donor contributes (either to the EWB-USA General Fund or to an EWB-USA Chapter’s General Fund), 50 cents of the match will follow the donation and 50 cents will go to the EWB-USA General Fund. Donations will be matched until the matching funds run out, so please, donate sooner rather than later! The 512 Form provides a variety of information about the Bungwe area and the potential impacts of a water transportation system, and will be up as soon as possible. |
